Credit Score Goodwill Letter

If you have concerns about your credit score, there are a few things you can do to improve it. One option is to send a goodwill letter to the credit bureau. A goodwill letter is a request for help in improving your credit score, and it can be beneficial if you have a good history with the bureau. Here’s a template of a good credit score goodwill letter.

{Your name/address}

{Account number}

To whom it may concern,

I am writing this letter to try and improve my credit score. I recently pulled a report card and discovered that my credit score is not great.

Up until {describe a situation that had a negative effect on your score}, I had a good score. I would like to improve my current score, and I’m sure you can help me.

Since the {event that lowered the score}, I’ve managed my finances, and now I’ll be able to make payments without being late.

It would help me enormously if you could remove any negative marks from my score.

With all respect,

{Your name}
