[State, ZIP Code]
[Subject: Normally bold, summarizes the intention of the letter] -Optional-
Dear [Recipients Name],
I am writing this letter as a request to be excused from my jury duties on [date]. I am well aware of my duties as a part of the Jury, but lately, I have been experiencing financial hardship, so I will have to make this request.
The reason being is that I struggled to find a job in the past few years, and I have been working at [Company] as a [Position] for the past few months; if I continue working hard, I might be able to pay off my debts. But, unfortunately, I am required to be at work on that date, and no employee can replace me.
I hope you could understand my current position, and I also hope this did not cause any inconvenience for you. If you need any additional information, feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
[Senders Name]
