Follow Up Letter After a Phone Interview

You held a job interview over the phone. It went great, and the candidate is promising. Now you want to send a follow-up letter after a phone interview to discuss the job opportunity with the candidate. Here is a good template for it. 

Dear {Candidate’s Name},

Thank you so much for taking the time to speak with me {time when / yesterday} about the open position here at our company. It was great to get to know you and learn more about your qualifications. Based on our conversation, I believe that you would be a perfect fit for the job.

I wanted to send a follow-up letter today to make sure that you have all of the information you need about the job and the next steps in the hiring process. {Optional: I have attached a copy of our employee handbook for your reference /  I have attached an official job offer you can go through. Please take some time to read through it, as it will give you a better idea of what the job entails.} Here are your job duties summed up: {write them}

The position starts on {Date} and the salary is {Money} per year. You will be required to work {hours} hours per week, as was discussed on the phone interview.
