Government Letter of Concern

There are a number of occasions when government officials may wish to write a Letter of Concern to another government entity. This could be in response to an event that has occurred or as a way to express concern about something that is happening. If you are a government official who needs to write a letter of concern, you can use the following template to help you get started.

I am writing to express the government’s concerns about your recent actions {Action}. These actions have led to {Situation}, and we are requesting that you take corrective action to address the issues.

Specifically, we request that you {Do something} by {Date}. Failure to take action to address these issues may result in {situation}.
