Follow Up Letter After Meeting

After meetings, all the details can easily vanish and get forgotten, so it’s a great idea to always send a follow-up letter after a meeting. Here’s a great template you can use.

Hello [recipient],

Thank you for taking the time to meet with me today. I wanted to follow up with a brief summary of what we discussed.

First, we went over the progress of the project so far. You mentioned that you’re having some difficulty getting the required approvals from your superiors but that you’re doing your best to keep things moving forward. I told you that I would be happy to help out in any way I can, and I offered my assistance with getting those approvals.

We also talked about the budget for the project. You said that you were hoping to keep costs down, and I told you about some possible cost-saving measures that we could explore. I think it’s important that we stay within our budget, so I’m going to work on putting together a proposal outlining those measures.

Lastly, we discussed the next steps. You said that you would get back to me with a timeline for the project, and I told you that I would be available to help out in any way possible.

I appreciate your time today, and I look forward to continuing our conversation in the future. Thank you again for meeting with me.

Sincerely,

[Your name]
