You have sent an application for a job, but you still haven’t received word back from the recipient. You want to send a polite but professional application follow-up letter, and here is a great template for that.
Dear {Recipient},
I am writing to follow up on my job application for the {position}. I am very interested in the opportunity and would love to learn more about the role and whether or not my qualifications are a good fit. I am eager to hear back from you about the status of my application. If you have any doubts about me being a good fit for this position, you can always send a follow-up email with the questions or schedule a meeting. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have and prove to you that we could be a great match.
If you don’t plan to contact any candidates that don’t fit into your ideals, a simple reply would suffice so that us overly eager applicants aren’t kept on our toes and can send out applications elsewhere. I am aware of how hectic and hard a hiring process can be.
Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely,
{Your name}
